NEW WORK

I partner with businesses and creatives to create visual content for the multi-media world we live in today. I bring my craftsmanship to the table for custom projects with clients who I have developed long-standing relationships with. I also explore new ways of capturing a subject - currently I'm experimenting with ways of using video in areas traditionally dedicated to still photography - such as fashion and model testing.

Speaker Bio Video

Manfred recently started his own company after leading the market research department at Amazon for many years. He was in need of a good video that showcased his speaking services so that companies and organizations considering him for upcoming opportunities could get a sense of his stage presence.

We originally planned only on a single video, but then two extra opportunities came along with speaking engagements for Manfred, one of which I could capture on video myself since I was involved in the event, and a second one which provided Manfred with a high quality file afterwards.

Tannya and I first worked when she styled several of my shoots last year. She is also a fantastic personal stylistwho works with clients of all ages to get the wardrobe that matches and supports their personal brand. A few weeks ago Tannya approached me about doing a few videos to help showcase her business and help her clients understands the service she is providing. The video above is the result of this work.

Urband Light Studio Videos

I’ve been working with Kevin, the owner of Urban Light Studios, to create a video that showcases the fun and eccentric place this studio is, and the many different uses it has. Many people who are at Urban Light Studios for the first time tend to be amazed yet also puzzled by the space and how it can be used. This video is a nice way of showing the whole space, and the many ways people have been using it from small to large photoshoots, video shoots, parties, weddings, and more.

I have the pleasure to be working with Craig of Bake’s Place, a Jazz and Blues Supper Club located in Issaquah, WA. We recently worked on the image above to promote Bake & Friends the trio of Craig, Hans, and Trish.

I’m continuing my experiments on how to do an effective model portfolio shoot on video rather than still. Earlier this week I worked with Briauna and Stace and we shot the entire 4 hours on video with a variety of poses, lighting setups, camera movements. All to a pre-selected background track to keep the rhythm in synch.

There are some interesting challenges which I’m still working through...

I had the pleasure to work with Myrriah again. We caught up during the October art walk which featured a print from an earlier project we had worked on together. After a few weeks of back and forth refining the concepts we wanted to work on, we put it all together a few days ago.

I have shot still images both on digital and film format for some time now. I recently decided to add motion imagery to my repertoire based on the fact that more and more clients are asking for both in this rapidly changing media world.

This shoot gave me an opportunity to play both with black & white film, a medium that despite its lack of color is very rich for editorial story telling, as well as video to add more dimension to the images. I like the idea of combining still and motion into a single end-result. A friend of mine just called it a photograph that keeps moving, which I thought was a nice description.
